An established Atlanta health care professional, Shafila Rahman most recently served as a patient transporter supervisor at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Responsible for patient transporters’ daily activities, she scheduled personnel and ensured adequate staffing. Shafila Rahman also managed training on equipment and safety protocols, and took responsibility for the condition and cleanliness of beds, wheelchairs, and stretchers.
Ms. Rahman’s record-keeping responsibilities spanned diverse patient transport activities and notated routine assignments and those involving incidents. She managed budgets across the patient transport department, tracking outlays and identifying areas of potential cost savings. She worked to ensure that all patient needs and concerns were promptly and efficiently addressed.
Shafila Rahman has also held duties as Emory Brain Health patient care coordinator and worked primarily with sleep care patients. After receiving authorization from insurance providers or confirmation that insurance authorization wasn’t needed, she contacted family members and scheduled respiratory therapy appointments. She also took on administrative tasks centered on CPAP/BiPAP equipment and addressing patient concerns and feedback.
